In Crossfit, exercise technique is important for ensuring that you experience improved strength, flexibility, and performance beyond any level which you have experienced in the past. We require new participants to complete a series of Foundations Sessions prior to participation in group classes so that you will have all the basics needed to perform successfully in the group workouts (WODS)
The required Foundations Sessions focus on teaching you the principles of fitness foundations: Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. You will learn fundamentals movements of Olympic lifting, kettlebells, and general Crossfit methods.
You may complete the Foundations requirement in one of two ways:
4 One on One Foundations Sessions with a Certified Trainer
These can be scheduled according to YOUR schedule, and can be done at any SWAT location that is convenient for you.
4 sessions = $300
OR - Approximately once a month we offer the Foundations
in a 4-hour Group Workshop format.
Foundations Workshop = $160

Group-Format Foundations Workshop
are done based on availability and enrollment, approximately once a month
The Foundations requirement focuses on teaching the basics and fundamentals of Crossfit Training, including Olympic lifting, skills progressions, and a Crossfit MOD (Mission of the Day). This workshop satisfies the Foundations requirement and prepares participants for SWAT's Crossfit classes at the new facility.
